Overview

Software Engineer for Speechify’s Platform team, focused on designing and maintaining backend services and APIs that support text-to-speech and related product capabilities.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including a public TTS API.
• Oversee internal APIs such as Payment, Subscription, Auth, and Consumption Tracking.
• Enhance backend API performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions for enterprise customization and integrations.
• Align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.

What you'll need

• Proven backend development experience using TypeScript/Node (required).
• Direct experience with GCP.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Proficiency deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.
