Software Engineer, Risk Technology

Overview

Software Engineer on the Risk Technology team to build a scalable reporting framework for risk calculations using large-scale data processing.

What you'll do

• Build a scalable reporting framework to process terabytes of data for complex risk calculations.
• Develop analytical frameworks for flexible large-scale compute on big datasets.
• Apply programming expertise to support processing in the Point72 Risk Department.
• Innovate and improve capabilities to deliver high-quality products to business partners.
• Solve complex problems using creative, unique solutions with latest technology.
• Build quantitative understanding of risk to anticipate team requirements.

What you'll need

• Have a minimum of 5 years’ programming experience in Python and/or functional languages.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics, or a related technical field.
• Have programming experience in a quantitative environment using statistical models or complex aggregations.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with peers and clients.
• Show problem-solving skills with deep understanding of core computer science algorithms and data structures.
