Software Engineer - Sr. Consultant Level (SDET, Playwright, Event Driven)

Overview

Join a team that builds and maintains highly scalable, high availability microservices within financial domains, orchestrating calls across squad microservices to enable seamless product journeys.

What you'll do

• Design and implement backend-heavy API test automation frameworks, with deep expertise in Playwright for API and end-to-end testing.
• Validate REST APIs, service integrations, contracts, authentication/authorization flows, error handling, retries, and data consistency across distributed systems.
• Build scalable, maintainable automation suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines, with clear reporting, test stability controls, and fast developer feedback loops.
• Define quality strategy for microservices-based platforms, including integration testing, service virtualization/mocking, test data management, and environment validation.
• Perform code review, debugging, and root-cause analysis, and collaborate with backend engineering teams to improve platform reliability and release confidence.
• Validate failure modes and correctness in event-driven and asynchronous architectures.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree, or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 11+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing backend-heavy API test automation frameworks, with deep expertise in Playwright for API and end-to-end testing.
• Proven ability to validate REST APIs, service integrations, contracts, authentication/authorization flows, error handling, retries, and data consistency across distributed systems.
• Experience building scalable, maintainable automation suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines, with clear reporting, test stability controls, and fast developer feedback loops.
• Ability to define quality strategy for microservices-based platforms, including integration testing, service virtualization/mocking, test data management, and environment validation.
• Strong engineering mindset with proficiency in code review, debugging, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with backend engineering teams.
• Experience validating failure modes and correctness in event-driven and asynchronous architectures.
• Experience with AI driven development ecosystem, preferably one of Claude, Cursor, OpenAI Codex, Amazon Kiro.
