Software Engineering - Associate

Overview

As a Software Engineering–Associate, you will collaborate with and support your team across Software Engineering activities while working under close supervision on minor assignments to gain a practical understanding of the DevOps role. You will develop your knowledge and experience in the Software Engineering Domain through continuous improvement, learning and feedback.

What you'll do

• Assist in developing, deploying, and improving specific software application elements, technologies and their interaction with Telstra processes and systems to deliver products and services to customer business units.
• Translate business requirements into software applications that deliver realisable products, services, or systems in a timely, high quality and cost-effective way.
• Contribute to operational capability that delivers reliable customer experience.
• Develop technology guidelines and standards for the design and deployment of technology.
• Establish a sustainable framework of continuous integration, quality assurance monitoring and testing.
• Understand the practices, processes, terminology, tools and artefacts used in DevOps.
• Understand career pathway options, determine career direction and use organisational tools, techniques and support systems to progress.
