Software Engineering Manager

Overview

Lead engineering teams responsible for developer tools, IDE platforms, frameworks, reusable utilities, configuration services, and automation platforms. Set technical strategy, improve developer productivity, and ensure secure, reliable, scalable platform delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers.
• Own enterprise development tools, IDE ecosystems, workstations, and cloud-based development environments.
• Lead development and adoption of enterprise frameworks, reusable utilities, platform services, and shared libraries.
• Define technical strategy, reference architectures, engineering standards, and technology roadmaps.
• Drive cloud-native, API-first, AI-assisted, and self-service engineering practices.
• Track operational metrics and lead incident management, root cause analysis, modernization, and service improvement.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, security, risk, infrastructure, and application development teams.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing engineering portfolios, budgets, and strategic roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, developer tooling, cloud-native architectures, CI/CD, DevOps, platform engineering, and API or microservices architectures.
• Experience with enterprise-scale platforms, developer productivity solutions, frameworks, or platform services.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, security, compliance, and platform engineering principles.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading globally distributed teams.
• Experience with Internal Developer Platforms, AI-assisted engineering tools, agentic workflows, and developer experience initiatives.
• Experience managing IDE ecosystems, developer workstations, or development environments.
• Experience driving large-scale engineering transformation initiatives.
