Software Engineering Manager

Overview

Software Engineering Manager role in Bengaluru to lead software engineers responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale applications and platforms.

What you'll do

• Lead, coach, and develop software engineering teams across multiple products and platforms.
• Provide technical and strategic leadership for enterprise-scale applications.
• Drive architecture and design decisions for security, scalability, reliability, resiliency, performance, and maintainability.
• Lead event-driven and asynchronous system design and implementation using Kafka and messaging tools.
• Establish engineering standards, SDLC practices, and quality controls.
• Partner with product, architecture, business, and technology leaders to define roadmaps.
• Lead production incident leadership and drive continuous improvement via root cause analysis.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent via work experience, training, military experience, or education).
• 2+ years of experience managing and leading software engineering teams.
• Experience delivering large-scale enterprise applications across multiple technology stacks.
• Experience designing and implementing distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Experience leading teams using Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, DevSecOps, testing, and release management.
• Experience managing technology risk, compliance, and operational resiliency requirements.
