Software Engineering Senior Analyst - HIH - Evernorth

Overview

Join the Data and Analytics Engineering (D&AE) operational effectiveness team to develop reports and data feeds using Python and GenAI tools, and to drive migration of reports to a cloud-based platform.

What you'll do

• Develop and manage report and data feeds involving complex queries.
• Perform root cause analysis on data pipeline failures and data discrepancies.
• Work with business partners to resolve defects identified in a timely manner.
• Understand the requirements and use cases provided.
• Automate application health checks and manual workarounds using Python.
• Enable self-healing capabilities to reduce human interference and user impact and increase availability.
• Partner with other teams and stakeholders for any clarifications needed for timely deliverables.
• Provide alternative solutions.
• Use Generative AI to design and implement automation solutions and self-healing capabilities for data workflows and operational processes.

What you'll need

• 11 to 13 years of experience as a software engineer.
• Strong knowledge of Python programming and GenAI experience.
• Experience with large datasets management.
• Experience with data pipeline scheduling.
• Experience with AWS services: IAM, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, Step Functions, Lambda, MWAA, SQS, SNS, Glue, Athena, etc.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, etc.
• Experience with MS Office suite and VBA, along with good presentation skills.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Dynatrace or Splunk, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in the related field.
• Experience in a developer role.
• Hands-on development experience with Python.
• Experience in relational database management systems such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• Experience with agile methodology.

Nice to have

• AWS certification.
