Overview

Software Engineering Technical Leader for Cisco Secure Access, owning the Agent Gateway end to end across architecture, Golang development, deployment, operations, and support.

What you'll do

• Set technical direction and own the Agent Gateway end to end.
• Lead architecture and design reviews, mentor engineers, and establish standards.
• Build resilient control-plane and data-plane services with failure handling and scalability.
• Lead Envoy/H2O proxy and networking design across L4/L7 routing and security.
• Own delivery from requirements through validation, cloud deployment, support, and continuous improvement (SLOs, observability, incidents, rollback, DR).
• Guide secure AI-agent integration with MCP servers, LLM providers, and enterprise tool APIs.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• At least 4 years leading an engineering team or providing technical leadership for production services.
• Hands-on Golang development and system design for scalable distributed services.
• Hands-on experience with Envoy, H2O, or comparable proxies and L4/L7 networking.
• Production ownership experience across Linux, containers, and AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Production ownership experience with observability, on-call response, incident management, and disaster recovery.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
