Software Functional Test Manager

Overview

Software Functional Test Manager responsible for managing cybersecurity, boot, and SIL/embedded testing competencies in automotive powertrain, drivetrain, and EV domains.

What you'll do

• Manage delivery of projects by leading a team of SW test engineers for embedded automotive power-electronics, powertrain, and inverter products.
• Lead software functional testing development/execution for power electronics projects (engine/transmission controllers, inverter and converter controllers) with reusability across projects.
• Enhance software test cases, automations, test suites, and SW test architectures with a strategic roadmap and innovations.
• Ensure tasks follow an ASPICE-compliant process and support Agile project execution; work with multisite teams.
• Establish problem-solving and debugging techniques, including bench-level debugging.
• Interface with systems engineering and stakeholders to ensure software requirements are understood and documented before testing; track and mitigate program risks and KPIs.

What you'll need

• 13 to 16 years of work experience in Powertrain and/or Inverter SW development/testing in the automotive sector.
• 6 to 8 years of product development/testing experience in Powertrain/Inverter or different automotive product lines.
• Experience with cybersecurity concepts (ISO-21434), HSM, and boot modules.
• Experience with HIL & SIL testing scope in embedded automotive software validation.
• Experience leveraging AI and test automation frameworks.
• Experience with customer and stakeholder management.
• PMP or Agile certification is preferred.
