Solution Architect

Overview

Design and oversee Unified Communications solutions, including software architecture and integration with customer or third-party IP, LTE and LMR networks, from pre-sales through system acceptance.

What you'll do

• Develop high-level solution designs and final deployment designs.
• Oversee software architecture for assigned projects.
• Design bills of materials, hardware and software ordering, and data center layouts.
• Prepare high-level architecture and security documentation.
• Support system staging, acceptance testing, upgrades and change requests.
• Lead customer meetings, design workshops and architecture presentations.
• Support pre-sales activities, RFP evaluation and responses.

What you'll need

• Hold a bachelor's degree; BSEE or BSCE is preferred.
• Know Unified Communications in radio communication systems or broadband, LTE or 3GPP.
• Have working knowledge of IP networking, network design and troubleshooting.
• Understand Ethernet, TCP/IP and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
• Understand virtualization and containerization platforms.
• Communicate effectively and explain complex topics to nontechnical audiences.
• Maintain focus in a pressured environment.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar certification.
