Specialist, AI Engineer

Overview

Specialist AI Engineer role based in Chennai, working on AI/ML and LLM-related system development.

What you'll do

• Prototype machine learning models using Python and common ML libraries.
• Apply supervised and unsupervised learning, including feature engineering and model selection.
• Develop deep learning solutions using PyTorch or TensorFlow/Keras.
• Work with LLMs and RAG using Hugging Face Transformers and prompt engineering.
• Use vector databases and embeddings for retrieval-related workflows.
• Implement data wrangling and pipelines with SQL and data tooling.

What you'll need

• Strong in Python, data structures, and algorithms.
• Hands-on with NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn for ML prototyping.
• Understanding of regularization, model selection, cross-validation, and ensemble methods.
• Proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow/Keras and familiarity with CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers, and attention mechanisms.
• Familiarity with optimization methods (Adam, SGD), dropout, and batch norm.
• Experience with Hugging Face Transformers and LLM fine-tuning concepts.
• Minimum education/experience via doctorate with 5 years, or master’s with 8 years, or bachelor’s with 7 years building AI systems/solutions.
