Overview
The DLP Specialist - Compliance monitors, reviews, and investigates Data Loss Prevention alerts using enterprise DLP tools to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do
- Review and investigate DLP alerts daily using Data Loss Prevention tools.
- Manage and fine-tune DLP policies, rules, and thresholds to reduce false positives and enhance detection accuracy.
- Analyze DLP events and follow defined escalation processes.
- Maintain accurate and timely status updates and closure documentation.
- Generate regular reports, dashboards, and metrics to track DLP performance and risk indicators.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of DLP processes and documentation.
- Handle the DLP team mailbox and coordinate communications.
- Collect, clean, transform, and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Perform trend analysis and define, track, and report DLP KPIs, including incident volume, false positives, top data types, risky users, channels, and SLA/closure.
- Perform root-cause analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and patterns across DLP alerts, logs, and incident data.
- Research, analyze, and summarize relevant information.
What you'll need
- Minimum 5 years overall experience with at least 2 years in DLP within an enterprise environment.
- Experience with DLP tools including Symantec, Forcepoint, McAfee, or Microsoft DLP.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft DLP, including policy design, administration, and incident handling.
- Proficiency in Power BI for dashboards and MIS reporting, with capabilities in Power Query and Power Automate.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Good understanding of information security fundamentals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience specifically with Microsoft DLP management tools.
- Strong knowledge of data protection principles.
- Experience working in multinational organizations, preferably in Insurance, Banking, IT, or ITES sectors.
- Data Privacy or Security certifications are a plus.
Details
- Location: Mumbai - Hiranandani.
- Hybrid work includes flexibility to work remotely and collaboration in the office.
- Expected to be in the local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week.
- Office-based teams identify at least one anchor day per week for the full team to be together in person.
