Overview
SQL Server Database Administrator responsible for administering and supporting Microsoft SQL Server and cloud database services, including performance, availability, security, and production support.
What you'll do
- Administer and support SQL Server, Amazon RDS PostgreSQL, and Aurora PostgreSQL databases.
- Install, configure, patch, upgrade, migrate, and maintain database environments.
- Monitor database health, perform health checks, and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Support backups, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Analyze and optimize queries, indexes, and database configurations.
- Handle production incidents and prepare RCA (root cause analysis).
- Manage database security, access controls, encryption, and compliance requirements.
What you'll need
- 2-4 years of experience managing, monitoring, and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Hands-on expertise in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Strong knowledge of T-SQL, troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, and database security.
- Experience with backup/recovery, performance tuning, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
- Strong SQL/T-SQL skills and query optimization experience.
- Knowledge of HA/DR technologies such as Always On AG, Multi-AZ, and Read Replicas.
- Familiarity with CloudWatch, Performance Insights, PowerShell, and monitoring tools.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of Terraform, CI/CD, ServiceNow, Tidal, and Commvault.
- Certifications for Microsoft SQL Server (preferred, not mandatory).

- Location: Gurugram, Haryana, India.
- In-office collaboration: employees work in the office at least three days per week, with flexibility to work from home two days per week.
- Full time; timings listed as 4:45p-1:15a.
