Overview
Sr. AI/ML Engineer guiding the architecture, technical roadmap, and hands-on implementation of a life sciences AI platform for agentic solutions across science and medical functions.
What you'll do
- Guide architecture and technical roadmap for a life sciences generative AI platform, including runtime, gateway, memory, identity, observability, and evaluation.
- Design and implement shared platform services and reusable solution patterns to generalize recurring needs.
- Integrate agent frameworks and interoperability protocols with enterprise data sources and scientific systems using secure platform patterns.
- Partner with stakeholders and AI/ML engineers to translate workflows and business needs into scalable AI solutions.
- Define and apply evaluation criteria to demonstrate solution quality, reliability, efficiency, and business value.
- Apply Agile practices to iteratively develop, evaluate, and mature concepts into validated, reusable solutions.
- Provide mentorship and communicate complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll need
- Ph.D. in Statistics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field; or master’s plus 4 years’ experience in lieu of a Ph.D.
- 3+ years of experience in statistics, computational biology, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience with AI and machine learning algorithms.
- Knowledge and experience with advanced AI concepts including neural networks, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
- Experience applying AI/ML techniques to areas such as NLP, image processing/computer vision, or image and pattern recognition.
- Experience with large language models for generative AI, including transformer architecture and retrieval augmented generation.
- Strong programming skills in Python and at least one ML framework such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or SKLearn.
