Sr. Analyst- Finance Business Partner

Overview

Finance Business Partner supporting Mobility business group and program portfolios executed at the Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC), acting as liaison between Mobility stakeholders, EIIC engineering teams and global finance.

What you'll do

• Support annual Profit Plan, monthly forecasts and outlook cycles by analyzing financial data and aligning headcount, OpEx and project spend with approved plans.
• Track and analyze OpEx, travel, flex costs, temporary staffing and project expenses against business targets, highlighting variances and supporting cost control.
• Provide financial analysis and ongoing support for Mobility NPI, NTI and strategic programs executed through EIIC.
• Assist in ensuring accurate and timely billing and invoicing, including validation of rates, hours and charge codes, and support timesheet compliance.
• Prepare financial dashboards, management reports and ad-hoc analyses for Mobility leadership discussions and EIIC finance reviews.
• Support identification and implementation of improvements in finance processes, automation and data accuracy.
• Support proposal management by developing financial analysis for new program business proposals, capital investments and new product endeavors (cost-benefit, Go/No Go, make or outsource).

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Costing or Management Accounting.
• 7-10 years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, Project Accounting or FP&A, preferably in an engineering or R&D environment.
• Expertise in process and product costing and finance, cost-benefit and techno-commercial analysis.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools, Power Apps, Power BI, AI and other automation tools.
• Experience with ERP or planning systems (e.g., Oracle) and timesheet tools (e.g., Tenrox).
• Ability to analyze large datasets and convert them into meaningful insights.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with ability to establish effective cross-functional relationships in a matrix environment.
• Detail-oriented, with proven ability to prioritize tasks and deliver results under tight timelines.

Nice to have

• CA, CWA, CMA or MBA.

• Role is part of the Mobility group, which Eaton intends to combine with a new company, expected to complete by the end of the first half of 2027; compensation and benefits details to be provided by the new company to employees actively employed at closing.
