Overview

Sr Analyst, SW Quality Engineering role at Northern Trust, focused on designing testable applications and maintaining test automation suites in an Agile environment.

What you'll do

• Contribute with BAs, Architects & Developers in designing testable applications
• Resolve technical issues, anticipate risks and ensure timely management escalation
• Utilize analytical skills in determining the root cause of defects & issues
• Contribute to analysis, optimization, improvement & maintenance of current test automation suites
• Understand enterprise/program high-level business workflows
• Exposure to test automation frameworks for UI, Micro services & API
• Ensure that design for automated tests includes modularization for code reusability and parameterization for data driven capability

What you'll need

• Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile development practices
• Hands-on exposure to one automation tool, IDE, and one scripting language
• Exposure to Web Services and hands-on experience in SQL
• Understanding of DevOps/CICD toolset - Bamboo/Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Git/BitBucket
• Understand concepts of Data Quality
• Proficient in QA process, techniques & methodologies
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to rise above details to see broader implications and recommend strategic solutions
• Self-starter; positive & adaptable; multi-task in a continually changing environment
• Ability to work within a team
• 1.5-4 years of relevant experience
• B.E/B.Tech Graduate

Nice to have

• Quality Engineering certifications: DevOps, SAFe Agilist, ITIL
