Sr. Application Engineer I

Overview

Support pre-sales engineering for Security System specific standards, including bill of material preparation, cost estimation and competitive bid creation.

What you'll do

• Review project inputs and specifications to capture scope and understand the complete requirements of the project.
• Review MEP drawings, specifications and SOPs, and identify equipment related to Security System (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Alarm).
• Prepare and participate in project kick-off and review meetings, including technical queries, compliance and deviations log, risk logs and minutes of meeting.
• Follow the standard estimation process and guidelines to select the proper combination of hardware, software, equipment, materials and services for an optimum budget.
• Create bill of material, field devices, software identification, network connection and storage selection.
• Prepare costing sheet including preliminaries and other costs, cost comparison charts, checklist, technical write-up, block diagram and deviation chart.
• Ensure quality assurance, defect-free deliverables, on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
• Escalate issues in good time so as not to affect the project delivery schedule; scope-creep escalations must be backed by clear evidence.
• Actively drive strategy to increase the win rate.
• Prepare the optimized techno-commercial costing sheet, proposal and compliance statements.
• Provide coaching and professional development to team members on product knowledge, technical acumen and technical sales skills.
• Keep operational parameters at the desired level for all assigned projects.
• Ensure timesheet compliance (entry and review) for self and team.
• Prepare weekly/monthly customer reporting on project progress.
• Actively participate in organization employee engagement initiatives.
• Align with organization KPIs such as Quality, Cycle Time, OTD, Win rate and Productivity.

What you'll need

• BE/ME in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics or Electronics & Communication.
• Work experience in leading access control products (e.g., Software House, Lenel, HID, Suprema, Bosch, Honeywell, etc.).
• Work experience in leading CCTV products (e.g., American Dynamics, Milestone, Genetic, Pelco, Axis, etc.).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) and Blue Beam.
• Quick learner, team player with a keen eye for problem solving.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to demonstrate good leadership skills.
• 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in Security.
