Sr. Associate, Repair & Maintenance Engineering

Overview

Sr. Associate, Repair & Maintenance Engineering (Science/Tech/Engineering Path) in Alcon's Engineering function, responsible for planning, designing and implementing maintenance programs to enhance facility and equipment productivity, with day-to-day ownership of the plant's Maximo CMMS.

What you'll do

• Own the plant's Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), technical side.
• Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training/job aids.
• Train associates in the use of Maximo (technical) and SQL.
• Ensure consistent application of CMMS practices and procedures.
• Participate in governance meetings using data from CMMS operation and receive feedback for Maximo CMMS improvement.
• Receive, evaluate and execute change proposals per SOP.
• Work with Central Stores and stakeholders on inventory management.
• Perform periodic analysis of the preventative maintenance program and present the analysis to Department Managers/Supervisors.
• Stay abreast of software updates/changes to ensure the system, software, training and reports function in the latest version.
• Support IT staff in troubleshooting the CMMS as needed.
• Act as a backup Maximo Coordinator for other manufacturing sites.
• Represent Manufacturing Operations at global Maximo meetings and work to establish global standards.
• Design and build queries to support system functionality and create reports supporting business metrics.
• Research, design, build and implement new features into Maximo to support Manufacturing needs.
• Build and test escalations to automate Maximo functionality and remove unnecessary manual steps.
• Use development and test environments to build and test functionality before moving to production.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree with 4-7 years of total experience.
• Maximo or CMMS experience.
• Technical Maximo training ability and SQL.

Nice to have

• Regulatory GxP knowledge (medical, aircraft industry).
