Sr Business Systems Analyst

Overview

Sr Business Systems Analyst focused on Oracle Fusion Subscription Management Cloud (SMC), responsible for reliability, availability and scalability of critical systems and SaaS platforms, working with technical and non-technical teams.

What you'll do

• Support and maintain technology systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution owners and solution architects to configure and optimize platform settings, including workflows, automation, and integrations with other systems.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and robust system architecture.
• Configure, support, and enhance Oracle Fusion Subscription Management Cloud, including subscription products and pricing, billing and renewal rules, amendments, usage and recurring charges, and the lifecycle from quote through activation, invoicing, and renewal.
• Build and deploy technology solutions translated from user stories and requirements.
• Manage the system lifecycle from implementation to shut down and decommissioning.
• Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms such as automation, and evolve systems by fostering changes that improve velocity.
• Leverage automation and configuration management to streamline systems administration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, including systems failures, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks.
• Evaluate and recommend new solutions, tools, and methodologies to enhance system efficiency, security, and productivity.
• Monitor system performance, proactively identify potential issues, generate meaningful reports, and implement preventive measures to maintain system health and uptime.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization activities to maximize system efficiency and response times.
• Respond to and help manage incidents; participate in RCA activities and assist with defining SLOs and SLIs for business stakeholders.
• Implement and enforce security best practices to protect systems, data, and infrastructure against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Create and maintain comprehensive knowledge bases, including standard operating procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides, to support end-users.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Uphold F5's Business Code of Ethics and promptly report violations of the Code or other company policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you'll need

• BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, or a similar role in a technology environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud Subscription Management (SMC) and its connected applications.
• Ability to configure and support SMC along with the Fusion modules it integrates with, including Product Information Management (PIM), Order Management (FOM), Pricing, Receivables (AR) and Billing, Revenue Management, and Customer Data Management.
• Hands-on experience configuring and administering Oracle Fusion Cloud applications, including Subscription Management (SMC), using setup tasks, Functional Setup Manager, and quarterly release testing.
• Support month-end and quarter-end business operations, including subscription billing runs, renewals, revenue recognition, and subscription-to-invoice reconciliation.
• Provide production support and participate in incident management, change management, and release deployment activities.
• Expert knowledge in technology systems including infrastructure or SaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to work both independently and as an integral member of an agile team.
• Proficient communication, planning, problem solving, troubleshooting, and organization skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
• Technical confidence and familiarity with DevOps tools.
• Strong proficiency in scripting and/or programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with technology systems tools, protocols, and platforms.

Nice to have

• Additional experience supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud modules and integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, FBDI, BI Publisher/OTBI, Oracle Integration Cloud).
• Exposure to Fusion Order Management (FOM), Product Information Management (PIM), Receivables/Billing, Revenue Management, Pricing, and Customer Data Management.
• Exposure to legacy Oracle EBS Order Management and Service Contracts.
