Sr Data Analyst

Overview

Senior Data Analyst supporting technology leaders with data analysis, dashboards, predictive insights and AI-enabled decision support across Target’s technology ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Analyze large-scale technology datasets to identify trends, anomalies, root causes and emerging risks.
• Design and deliver analytical, predictive and AI-driven solutions.
• Build and maintain dashboards and self-service analytics primarily in Looker.
• Apply regression, forecasting, classification, time-series and anomaly-detection techniques.
• Evaluate AI workflows using quality, reliability and business-impact metrics.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document methodologies, metrics, assumptions and model-evaluation approaches.

What you'll need

• 5–8 years of overall experience and 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• B.Tech/B.E. or a master’s degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics or an equivalent field.
• Strong SQL, SQL optimization, data warehousing and BI knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with Looker, Power BI, Tableau or similar visualization tools.
• Hands-on experience with Python, R or similar analytical environments.
• Experience with Git and agile working environments.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI and LLM-based solutions, including prompt engineering, RAG, structured outputs or embeddings.

Nice to have

• Experience working with technology, software engineering, infrastructure, reliability, cybersecurity, cloud or other IT-related data.
