Sr. Data Analyst OR Data Analyst (Advanced Analytics/Basics of Data Science, Databricks, SQL, Advanced Excel)

Overview

Gartner is hiring a Data Analyst or Sr. Data Analyst for the Insights and Product Analytics (IPA) team, working on retention analytics and applied analytics/AI use cases.

What you'll do

• Own problem structuring, analysis, and implementation of strategic initiatives and cross-organizational deliverables.
• Partner with data scientist and data engineering teams to develop scalable, advanced analytics solutions for client retention.
• Analyze large amounts of data to derive business insights.
• Measure retention impact of Gartner assets and help evolve content, interactions, and client offerings.
• Interact with business leaders to understand pain points and build solutions for their needs.
• Collaborate on projects involving automation and with the Information Technology team.

What you'll need

• Data Analyst experience: 2-3 years (or 3-5 years for Sr. Data Analyst).
• Hands-on analytical tools experience involving analysis of large volumes of data.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably with quantitative concentration.
• Technical competency in Statistics, Python, Data Science, Databricks, SQL, and Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated exceptional problem solving with a track record of solving complex problems using data to tell a story.
• Strong verbal and written communication, plus ability to work independently.
