Sr Data Engineer

Overview

Sr Data Warehouse Engineer (Remote) to build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines for BI and reporting.

What you'll do

• Build and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer.
• Develop high-performance SQL for complex transformations across multiple datasets.
• Design and refine Star/Snowflake data models for insurance and SaaS reporting needs.
• Identify and resolve pipeline bottlenecks to optimize query speed and cloud cost.
• Partner with analysts to translate business logic (e.g., churn rates, claims ratios) into specs.
• Conduct peer code reviews and maintain data warehouse documentation.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience in cloud-based data warehouses.
• Solid Google Cloud ecosystem experience, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and IAM best practices.
• Expert-level SQL proficiency, including window functions, recursive CTEs, and query plan analysis.
• Knowledge of indexing, partitioning, clustering, and data warehousing lifecycle management.
• Detail-oriented approach focused on data integrity and clean code.
• Ability to work within core US business hours with EST overlap.

Details

• Location: India (Remote).
• Working hours: 8 hours/day excluding breaks, with 4 hours US overlap (7:30pm–11:30pm IST) and 4 flexible hours.
