Senior Data Engineer role in Genpact's Data Engineering team, building and maintaining enterprise data solutions on the Databricks platform.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Data Engineering
• Mandatory hands-on experience in Databricks (PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake)
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data engineering solutions
• Hands-on experience with Azure/AWS/GCP, preferably Azure, and orchestration tools (ADF/Airflow)
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and performance optimization
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices
• Ability to collaborate with business and cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise data solutions
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Qualifications: Bachelors in Business Analytics, Computer Science or Statistics, or Masters in Data Science
• Required skills: Databricks Platform, PySpark
• Language: English, Advanced - C1

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, and Structured Streaming
• Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Microsoft); Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP) Data Scientist (Upgrad); Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark 3.0 (Databricks Academy); Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional (Databricks Academy); Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (Microsoft)
