Sr Data Engineer (Python, SQL, AI Solutions)

Overview

Sr Data Engineer to build agentic AI applications for Gartner Sales and Service delivery enablement tools.

What you'll do

• Design and implement scalable multi-agent architectures for autonomous data retrieval, synthesis, and action.
• Engineer Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for holistic, real-time client relationship understanding.
• Build workflow logic that connects disparate systems and enables handoffs to sub-agents or external APIs.
• Implement guardrails, security controls, and intent recognition to handle sensitive data safely.
• Lead the evolution of AI capabilities from POCs to high-availability production systems.
• Optimize LLM interactions and context window usage to balance latency, cost, and response quality.

What you'll need

• 4–6 years of professional software engineering experience shipping production-quality code.
• Deep proficiency in Python application development, including FastAPI, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with orchestration frameworks (LangGraph or LangChain) and RAG using vector databases.
• Experience deploying scalable solutions on AWS (e.g., Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, DynamoDB) and knowledge of distributed systems/APIs/microservices.
• Experience transitioning complex systems from POC to high-availability production environments serving a large user base.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across time zones and global teams.
