Overview
Senior Engineer – Systems & MBD contributes to the design and development of a product or solution from conception through verification/validation.
What you'll do
- Identify and define customer needs and requirements, including performance, usability, and safety.
- Use MATLAB to develop model-based design and MATLAB models with hardware and software teams.
- Collaborate on technical issues, design changes, design reviews, and problem resolution.
- Manage requirements using industry-standard tools and tracking in spreadsheets.
- Run risk management in line with EN ISO 14971 across the product life cycle.
- Support usability engineering for compliance to IEC 62366 and FDA guidance.
- Develop verification test plans with verification/validation engineers and support integration during tests.
What you'll need
- Have a Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years’ experience or a Master’s with 3+ years’ experience in relevant engineering fields.
- Experience in system engineering for medical devices/medical imaging/image processing, including MATLAB system model development.
- Experience in medical device development, FDA regulations, and MDR.
- Exposure to usability engineering process.
- Understanding and adherence to FDA, ISO, and IEC design control procedures, regulations, and standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate and deliver objectives across multiple projects.
