Overview
SR Engineer focused on Oracle Database administration and production support across RAC/Clusterware, backup-recovery, Data Guard, migrations, and automation.
What you'll do
- Administer Oracle Database in production support environments.
- Handle database installations, upgrades, migrations, cloning, refresh, and patching (RU, one-off, Grid Infrastructure).
- Troubleshoot Oracle RAC/Clusterware components including OCR, voting disk, ASM, RAC services, and SCAN listeners.
- Manage backup and recovery using RMAN, including validation, restore/recovery, PITR, and DR testing.
- Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting using SQL tuning and AWR/ASH/ADDM analysis.
- Administer Data Guard/Active Data Guard and execute switchover/failover activities.
- Support database automation using scripting and tools such as Shell, Python, and Ansible.
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of hands-on Oracle DBA and production support experience.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database 19c and exposure to Oracle 26ai.
- Experience supporting Oracle RAC clusters of 2-node through 5-node configurations.
- Experience with Oracle Data Pump exports/imports, schema migrations, and Transportable Tablespaces.
- Experience administering Oracle ASM including disk group management, rebalancing, and capacity planning.
- RMAN backup/recovery strategy experience including disaster recovery testing.
- Automation/scripting experience using Shell Scripting, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
Nice to have
- Preferred: Oracle Exadata administration and support.
- Preferred: Cohesity backup and recovery administration.
- Preferred: InfluxDB administration and troubleshooting.
- Preferred: ClickHouse database administration.
- Preferred: Experience driving database automation, reliability, and operational efficiency initiatives.
