Sr. Engineer - SAP Basis (BTP & HANA)

Overview

Sr. Engineer responsible for global and regional SAP technical (Basis) support, interfaced systems, systems administration in S4 and BTP environments, implementation, problem analysis, performance tuning, and support of all relevant infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot the SAP technical environment and its underlying components and interfaces (C4C, Vertex, OpenText, ShipERP etc.) on an ongoing basis.
• Schedule and execute the SAP transport system.
• Provide performance tuning and problem analysis for SAP instances.
• Work with cross-functional and ABAP teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Lead projects independently and create runbooks, project plans, and engage stakeholders efficiently.

What you'll need

• B.E/B.Tech (IT/CS or equivalent) with 7-9 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of SAP Basis administration experience.
• 3+ years of S4 HANA experience along with relational database concepts.
• Technical understanding of SAP, its underlying database, operating system, hardware platform (Linux/Windows with HANA), and networking principles.
• Experience with S4 HANA (RISE), Solution Manager, boltons (like tax engine, compliance engine, TMS, BTP, DSM etc.), and experience with SAP HANA Cockpit and HANA Studio.

Nice to have

• Working experience as HANA DB.
• Infrastructure/architecture awareness (networking, virtualization, middleware, OS platform etc.).
• BCP planning and disaster recovery knowledge (backup and recovery mechanisms).
• Cloud-based deployment experience (e.g., AWS, Azure etc.).
• Exposure to SAP technologies and solutions (e.g., S4 HANA suite, Gateway, BTP [SAC/DSP/DM/Joule etc.]).
• BTP platform knowledge in configuration, integration, SSO, and creating subaccounts.
