Sr. Engineer, TSE-SIG, Mechanical

Overview

Lead mechanical design, development, validation, and lifecycle support for semiconductor manufacturing and test equipment. The role includes technical ownership, complex project leadership, and mentoring junior mechanical engineers.

What you'll do

• Design mechanical assemblies, frameworks, fixtures, and subsystems.
• Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Perform stress, vibration, thermal, airflow, and tolerance analyses.
• Drive designs from requirements through prototyping, validation, release, and sustaining support.
• Support prototype builds, debugging, qualification testing, and deployment.
• Analyze failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead complex projects, design reviews, process improvements, and junior engineer mentoring.

What you'll need

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of mechanical design and product development experience.
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or NX.
• Experience designing electro-mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience supporting prototype builds, testing, and qualification activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Semiconductor or automated test equipment experience.
• Experience with sheet metal, machined parts, weldments, castings, or plastics.
• Knowledge of FEA, thermal management, airflow design, reliability methods, or engineering scripting.
• Familiarity with automation, robotics, motion control, or mechatronics.
• Experience with global engineering teams and external suppliers.
