Sr. Firmware Engineer

Overview

Sr. Firmware Engineer working on embedded, Linux-based real-time operating systems for real-time data acquisition, processing, and transformer substation monitoring.

What you'll do

• Develop embedded firmware solutions for critical substation monitoring and diagnosis.
• Coordinate firmware development activities and lead quality and scheduling efforts.
• Support development with pre-qualification and verification testing.
• Ensure product compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support product transition to mass manufacturing.
• Follow software development and validation processes and continuously improve them.
• Use Scrum Agile methodology for software development.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Proven expertise in embedded systems architecture design and support in a real-time Linux environment.
• Experience with DSP programming and familiarity with Matlab.
• Expertise in Embedded C/C++ in a hard real-time, multi-threaded environment.
• Hands-on programming for peripheral interfaces such as UART, I2C, and SPI.
• Strong analytic/problem-solving skills for root cause determination and issue fixing.
