Sr Forward Deployed Engineer

Overview

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you work with customers to design and productionize data and AI solutions using the Databricks platform.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end production solution delivery for customer technical projects.
• Design and build reference architectures, custom applications, and data ingestion.
• Integrate ML/AI model components into end-to-end systems.
• Scope technical delivery work with input from the customer and engagement managers.
• Guide customers on architecture and implement/bootstrap customer projects.
• Own architecture and design decisions, ensuring security and scalability.
• Embed with customer teams to understand stakeholder needs and deliver impact.

What you'll need

• 9+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Ability to write code in Python, Scala, and/or JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
• Experience delivering performant end-to-end production data architectures and applications.
