Senior Data Engineer

Overview

Senior Data Engineer role focused on designing and delivering scalable data engineering solutions using Cognite Data Fusion.

What you'll do

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data engineering solutions using Cognite Data Fusion.
• Drive and manage integrations and extractions using Cognite data connectors.
• Develop data modeling and analysis using SQL, Python/Java, and REST APIs.
• Create custom data models for data discovery, mapping, and cleansing.
• Conduct code reviews and implement best practices for maintainable code.
• Support customers and partners with data engineering tasks using Cognite products.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or similar.
• Have 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing data-intensive role.
• Deliver production-grade data pipelines using Python, SQL, and REST APIs.
• Have experience with distributed computing such as Kubernetes and managed cloud services like GCP and/or Azure.
• Demonstrate a DevOps mindset with Git and CI/CD and deployment environments.
• Enjoy working in cross-functional teams and independently solve problems.

Nice to have

• Domain knowledge of data sources in oil and gas & manufacturing industry.
