Staff Data Engineer

Overview

Staff Data Engineer to design and build data infrastructure, transformation pipelines, and agentic evaluation systems for AI workflows.

What you'll do

• Design and oversee deployment of data architecture and pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Build ML- and data-engineering-based tools to cleanse, organize, and transform data.
• Partner with product and AI teams to define evaluation metrics, ground truth standards, and validation criteria.
• Design and implement automated evaluation pipelines using Now LLM Service models and execution logs.
• Create design standards, quality gates, and validation frameworks for data systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers on evaluation and data engineering design.

What you'll need

• 9+ years designing and building production data pipelines, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT systems.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, Javascript or equivalent, and distributed data processing.
• 3+ years working on ML systems, model validation infrastructure, automated testing, or AI-powered applications.
• Hands-on experience with data quality, feature engineering, and model monitoring.
• Proven record deploying, monitoring, and maintaining large-scale data systems in production.
• Ability to design scalable, secure data architectures and work with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
• Familiarity with AI/ML evaluation frameworks, LLM-based systems, and agentic workflows.
