Sr Product Software Engineer I

Overview

Sr Product Software Engineer I working on Disney’s Digital Advertising Platform in Ad Serving/Decisioning engineering, including ad qualification and selection for Disney/ESPN online properties.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and test high-throughput, low-latency microservices.
• Enhance observability with metrics, monitoring, and alerting.
• Translate product requirements into actionable engineering tasks.
• Own one or more domain areas for the team.
• Integrate AI-assisted development practices into daily workflows.
• Participate in on-call rotations per the team’s escalation policy.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Java.
• Experience with ReactJS or similar frontend frameworks.
• BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant work experience.
• Demonstrable analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• SpringBoot and related Spring projects.
• Experience with DynamoDB and other non-relational databases.
• Experience with Redis/ValKey/MemCache caching datastores.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and/or Kinesis.
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools and applying them in software development.
• Domain knowledge in Ad Tech.
