Sr. Project engineer/Lead Engineer

Overview

Sr. Project engineer/Lead Engineer for Process Automation in the Energy Industry, providing DCS engineering leadership and design authority for multiple projects supporting ABB customers in Bangalore.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end DCS engineering activities according to customer and project requirements.
• Act as design authority by reviewing and authorizing engineering deliverables.
• Develop engineering proposals, system solutions, schedules, and manage planning and control.
• Drive change management with scope, cost, schedule, and risk assessments.
• Participate in project reviews and present technical scope and progress to stakeholders.
• Support project risk and opportunity management and contribute to claims/variation order documentation.
• Mentor and guide project engineering teams with technical support and knowledge sharing.

What you'll need

• BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, or related engineering domain.
• 9–14 years’ experience in Process Automation within Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemicals, Power, and Water industries.
• Strong proficiency in DCS system engineering, upgrades, modernization, retrofits, servicing, and commissioning.
• Hands-on experience with servers, workstations, RAID configurations, and system installations.
• Skilled in VMware ESXi/Hyper-V, virtual environments, and Windows system administration.
• Expertise in network configurations (switches, routers, firewalls) and Active Directory/domain setup.
• Experience designing and implementing cybersecurity solutions including McAfee ePO and WSUS.
