Associate Project Engineer

Overview

Associate Project Engineer for ABB’s Automation – Energy Division, supporting engineering and commissioning of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) projects in Bangalore, India.

What you'll do

• Handle engineering and commissioning activities under a Project Lead Engineer.
• Develop DCS solutions including configuration, programming, and customization.
• Install DCS systems at customer sites and ensure integration with existing infrastructure.
• Execute commissioning tasks such as system validation, loop checks, and functional testing.
• Conduct site visits with domestic travel exceeding 70% of work time.
• Collaborate to align engineering deliverables with customer documentation and specifications.
• Prepare As-Built documents and support smooth handover to customers.

What you'll need

• 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial automation DCS commissioning in process automation.
• Enhanced knowledge of 800xA.
• Comfort with industrial automation work in the pharma and chemicals market.
• Motivation for stakeholder and team management.
• Diploma or degree in engineering (instrumentation or chemical engineering).
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
