Overview

As an Automation Software Engineer, you develop, program, test, and commission automation solutions for tissue production machinery, supporting projects from system design through factory testing and customer start-ups.

What you'll do

• Develop and program automation logic for machine control.
• Design, program, and validate safety systems.
• Perform machine checkout, commissioning, and FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests).
• Support development of new technology (R&D).
• Own project budgets and schedules.
• Contribute to electrical design activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement of methods and processes.

What you'll need

• 4-10 years of experience in industrial automation (Electrical and Automation discipline).
• Hands-on experience with PLC and/or DCS systems, including programming, configuration, testing, and commissioning.
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic disciplines.
• Good understanding of industrial communication networks and integrated control systems.
• Experience with machinery safety concepts, safety circuits, and Safety PLCs, including Pilz Safety PLC.
• Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Details

• Occasional international travel for commissioning and customer installations (3–6 weeks at a time).
