Overview
Associate Project Engineer supporting engineering activities for projects under supervision of senior engineers.
What you'll do
- Support engineering activities across project sizes and complexity levels.
- Complete tasks cost-effectively per contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies.
- Collect data and support production of engineering design.
- Perform survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks.
- Prepare project documentation within scope of deliverables using judgment on limited details and standard methods.
- Assist customers on technical issues and coordinate with official contacts, contractors, and staff within scope.
- Participate in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.
What you'll need
- 3-7 years of experience in Load Management Systems, Control & Automation, software development, testing, installation, and commissioning of High Power Rectifier Systems and Rectifier Transformers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related Engineering disciplines.
- Experience delivering automation solutions in process industries.
- Highly skilled with the ABB 800xA Platform, Rectifier Control Systems, and industrial automation solutions for Aluminum, Copper, Zinc, and Caustic Chlorine process industries.
- Solid knowledge of ABB 800xA, Control Builder, SCADA, RTU, Power Management Systems (PMS), and industrial communication protocols (IEC61850, OPC, Modbus, Modbus TCP/IP).
- Hands-on experience developing and optimizing PMS and Rectifier libraries, including IED engineering and protection relay applications.
- Comfortable with 70-80% Pan-India travel and communication in English (verbal and written).
