Smart Factory Engineer

Overview

Smart Factory Engineer to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production by deploying and integrating Operational Technologies (OT) and Industry 4.0 solutions across manufacturing sites.

What you'll do

• Integrate shop floor devices with the Wabtec MES and other Wabtec IT systems across multiple sites.
• Enable real-time manufacturing data collection and visualization.
• Maximize communication and uptime of integrated shop floor devices across multiple sites.
• Support PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial software upgrades.
• Assist with system validation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Support specification development for I4.0 connectivity requirements for purchased equipment and devices.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, controls, OT, or Industry 4.0 environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Automation, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with manufacturing systems integration and industrial automation technologies.
• Strong understanding of OT network architecture and industrial communication protocols.
• Experience supporting MES, SCADA, HMI, and historian systems.
• Knowledge of cloud and edge computing architectures within manufacturing environments.
