Overview
Senior Server Engineer on a core IT team designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions for a global organization.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise infrastructure platforms across servers, virtualization, storage, backup, and cloud-hosted services.
- Own server and infrastructure lifecycle activities including deployment, upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and decommissioning.
- Administer and optimize virtualization platforms (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, OpenStack, KVM, or equivalents).
- Manage enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, replication, performance optimization, capacity management).
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions for business continuity and data protection.
- Administer Windows and Linux server environments for hardening, patching, automation, performance tuning, and operational support.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code and automation using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.
What you'll need
- 6–9 years of IT experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years in enterprise infrastructure, systems engineering, platform engineering, or systems administration in complex IT environments.
- Strong experience administering enterprise Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise virtualization technologies including VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, OpenStack, KVM, or equivalent platforms.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms and services including AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with automation/scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
Details
- Job location: Black Duck Software, Bangalore (Near Dairy Circle, Opp to Christ University).
- Work mode: Hybrid with a minimum of 3 days work from office in a week.
- Participation in a rotating on-call schedule to support critical operations outside business hours.
