Senior Manager, Engineering

Overview

Senior Manager, Engineering to lead Core Infrastructure engineering from Bengaluru while scaling the platform, team, and next generation products.

What you'll do

• Lead, hire, and develop an infrastructure team in Bengaluru with a culture of accountability and mentorship.
• Own delivery for core infrastructure investments including cloud infrastructure, observability, container orchestration, and reliability.
• Partner with Product Engineering, Security, and adjacent platform teams to accelerate product delivery.
• Set technical strategy for multi-cloud infrastructure, including Azure- and GCP-based systems, Kubernetes, networking, and infrastructure as code.
• Drive operational excellence via observability, incident response, disaster recovery, runbooks, alerting, and recovery tooling.
• Support scaling safely by improving system design quality and hardening critical paths.
• Contribute hands-on during architecture reviews, incident leadership, prioritization, and high-stakes programs.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of engineering management experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on infrastructure or platform engineering experience in production environments.
• Deep technical strength across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, observability, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform or Pulumi).
• Experience designing and scaling reliable distributed systems with strong judgment on performance, fault tolerance, and operational tradeoffs.
• Track record leading complex cross-functional initiatives and translating ambiguous needs into execution plans and measurable outcomes.
• Strong people leadership including hiring, coaching, and building a high-performing team culture.
• Clear communication and calm execution during incidents and escalations.
