Sr. Software QA Engineer

Overview

The Sr Software QA Engineer tests next-generation software for input and connected devices, developing test strategies, improving SQA processes, writing test plans and cases, debugging and resolving issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

• Develop test strategies based on software requirements in an agile development environment.
• Improve and streamline the SQA process for greater efficiency.
• Write test plans and cases aligned with the software functional specifications and marketing requirements.
• Identify, debug, and resolve issues to ensure the best product delivery to customers.
• Manage documentation for bugs and other software issues encountered during testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, firmware, and marketing.

What you'll need

• Strong understanding of software quality testing and product release processes.
• Solid grasp of software engineering processes and development lifecycles.
• Experience in estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities.
• Competence in developing and maintaining comprehensive test documentation with traceability from requirements to tests.
• Expertise in designing and completing regression tests.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose root causes and resolve defects.
• Experience in testing software API tools like SoapUI and Postman.
• Proficiency in debugging on macOS and Windows systems.
• Ability to work with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding and experience in SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodology.
• Strong debug and trace skills using USB analyzers, Wireshark, or similar tools.
• Experienced with using JIRA, GIT, or Agile-based tools.
• Expertise in Functional, Integration, Regression, Compatibility and Localization testing.
