Sr. Specialist - BI, Reporting and Data Visualization 4C

Overview

Develop and maintain BI reports and dashboards supporting membership acquisition and engagement analytics, primarily within the Databricks EDW environment.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in support of membership acquisition and engagement analytics, working primarily within the Databricks EDW environment.
• Build subject matter expertise across BJ's data and analytics environments, with a focus on the membership data domain.
• Translate complex membership business requirements into well-structured, accurate BI output.
• Work collaboratively with member analytics and business teams to understand data context, reporting requirements, and business priorities.
• Operate with a degree of independence in day-to-day development activities, exercising sound judgment on when to move forward autonomously and when to seek guidance from senior team members.
• Perform ETL and data preparation within the Databricks EDW as needed to support membership reporting and dashboard development.
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual reporting processes or push embedded report logic into the shared data layer for broader enterprise use.
• Maintain a consistent and predictable development pace, managing multiple membership BI requests of varying size and complexity while proactively communicating status, progress, and any blockers to business partners and the internal team.
• Perform ad hoc analysis as needed in support of membership business objectives.

What you'll need

• Bachelors in Business Analytics, Computer Science or Statistics, or Masters in Data Science.
• Certified Data Management Professional - Riversand (certification).
