Sr. Specialist, Cloud Engineering

Overview

Sr. Specialist, Cloud Engineering to architect and advance a Kubernetes-based Managed Application Platform Services (MAPS) Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) in Hyderabad.

What you'll do

• Architect, design, and engineer a global Kubernetes PaaS for the MAPS product suite.
• Apply SRE and DevOps principles to improve scalability, reliability, security, and platform resilience.
• Implement observability with monitoring, logging, and tracing capabilities.
• Develop and own lifecycle of core platform services such as cluster management and container image services.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps best practices for platform infrastructure and services.
• Define and enforce golden paths and documentation for container workloads; act as an escalation point for complex issues.

What you'll need

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters (e.g., EKS, AKS, or self-managed).
• Strong Linux background in systems administration, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Advanced networking knowledge in containerized/cloud environments (e.g., VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, DNS, CNI, ingress/egress patterns).
• Experience with cloud-native technologies such as Helm, Cilium/Calico, Karpenter, and service meshes (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
• Observability tools/platform knowledge including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, or Datadog.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Shell) with automation focus.
