Sr. Specialist - Cost Control

Overview

Sr. Specialist - Cost Control to support a major offshore oil & gas development project, delivering project cost controls, forecasting, variance analysis, and earned value (EV) management.

What you'll do

• Analyze project cost spending trends versus budget and forecast.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project cost control tools to track costs, commitments, revenues, forecasts, budgets, and progress measurement.
• Prepare project cash flow forecasts in coordination with accounting counterparts.
• Manage and validate project cost components based on contract terms that vary between projects.
• Implement change management processes, procedures, and systems with project teams.
• Implement and maintain an earned value (EV) process on projects and facilitate cost/performance reviews.
• Review incurred project costs by category and calculate future costs using labor productivity, material price increases, subcontract, wage rates, and risk analysis.

What you'll need

• 10 to 15 years of project cost controls experience.
• Experience using cost systems to manage cost performance across a portfolio of several projects concurrently.
• Advanced analytical and business acumen.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interdisciplinary work.
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of cost controls related with home office engineering work.
• Knowledge of cost controls related with field maintenance and construction work in process plants.
