Overview
The Senior Specialist, Global Payroll & Equity supports the expanding global workforce by owning timely and accurate payroll processing for India, the UK and other assigned countries across APAC and EMEA.
What you'll do
- Own the timely and accurate payroll process, including processing wages, timekeeping, bonuses, garnishments, taxes, and benefit deductions for India, the UK and other countries as assigned across APAC and EMEA.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to process payroll, assist employees, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations.
- Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and on time by reviewing payroll registers and reports and coordinating payroll funding with Accounting.
- Perform off-cycle payroll runs as required.
- Prepare payroll journal entries and assist with account reconciliations.
- Continuously evaluate, analyze, and streamline payroll processes, including identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Develop and maintain effective payroll procedures and internal controls.
- Perform year-end payroll activities and related reporting.
- Utilize payroll systems to support payroll processing, reporting, and system accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of payroll experience.
- At least 5–6 years supporting global payroll operations.
- Extensive knowledge of payroll functions and applicable laws, payroll setup and processing, payroll tax compliance, balancing and reconciliation, deductions, and internal controls.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate payroll processes and complex administrative information to stakeholders.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent organizational, time management, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to apply past experience to inform decision-making.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment and interact with colleagues and business partners across the organization.
