Sr. Technical Engineer – SAP Platform, Dev

Overview

Sr. Technical Engineer (SAP Platform, Dev) for General Mills India Centre, supporting global digital transformation by designing and delivering custom SAP solutions and integrations across the system landscape.

What you'll do

• Design and deliver scalable, sustainable, high-quality custom SAP solutions.
• Provide technical consultation for end-to-end business-process solution design.
• Estimate, plan, and decompose complex work into manageable deliverables.
• Coordinate and delegate work to junior developers and ensure quality delivery.
• Drive integrated process and technical improvements across teams.
• Lead adoption of SAP best practices including code reviews, change control, and development standards.
• Evaluate and pilot emerging SAP capabilities for productivity, automation, UX, and sustainability.

What you'll need

• 10–13 years of SAP development experience, including lead roles in large-scale implementation projects.
• Strong expertise in Core ABAP and ABAP on HANA.
• Strong expertise in S/4HANA, including Fiori/UI5.
• Strong expertise in ABAP Cloud/RAP.
• Broad functional understanding across SAP modules such as TM, MM, SD, and FI.
• Experience integrating SAP applications and technologies across teams.
• Experience mentoring or coaching others and recognized as a go-to SME.

Nice to have

• Expert level S/4HANA and ABAP for SAP HANA, including ABAP Objects and Enhancement Framework.
• Experience with SAP Gateway/Fiori, ALE/IDoc, Forms, and performance/unit testing.
• Basic level MuleSoft and OMP; intermediate level TM and BTP/BAS; RAP/ABAP on Cloud and SAP Workflow.
