Sr. Technical Engineer – Planview Platform

Overview

The Sr. Technical Engineer will enable the Planview platform for the Capabilities team by defining architecture, configuring advanced modules, and building secure integrations and automation. The role also drives platform roadmaps and ensures scalability for enterprise portfolio and financial tracking use cases.

What you'll do

• Own scalability strategy, upgrade roadmap, and platform governance for Planview Portfolios.
• Manage Sandbox and Production environments, including configuration changes and deployments.
• Act as Planview SME by guiding and mentoring administrators and system engineers.
• Configure portfolio structures, investment strategies, fiscal periods, routing rules, and approval workflows.
• Design and maintain integrations using Planview Portfolios REST APIs, OData feeds, and OAuth2 for syncing with external platforms.
• Develop Python, Java, or Shell scripts to automate data transfers and maintenance activities.
• Write, debug, and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for reporting and troubleshooting.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in enterprise applications, platform architecture, systems integration, or technical administration.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Planview Portfolios or a comparable enterprise portfolio management platform.
• Proven experience defining technical architecture and platform scalability/environment strategy across enterprise systems.
• Strong experience with secure integrations using REST APIs, OData feeds, OAuth2, and connecting platforms such as Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.
• Strong scripting and database skills, including Python or Java and advanced SQL.
