Staff AI Engineer for Payments Intelligence, leading the technical direction and building production AI-agent systems for smarter payment experiences.
What you'll do
- Architect and build production AI-agent systems (AIDA and NOVA) for Payments Intelligence.
- Define how LLMs and agentic AI are applied to real payment problems.
- Design multi-step production agents with tool use, orchestration, memory, and RAG for reliability and low latency.
- Build conversational and multilingual customer experiences across channels and languages.
- Establish evaluation, safety, and guardrails using rigorous evaluation and observability.
- Architect client intelligence systems that turn payment data into merchant insight.
- Automate AI Ops and support workflows and mentor engineers while partnering cross-functionally.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of experience (minimum qualification: extensive software engineering experience).
- Deep expertise in agentic systems including multi-step agents, tool use, orchestration, memory, and RAG.
- Strong LLM application skills including prompt engineering, evaluation, and guardrails.
- Strong Python for AI/ML and backend engineering in Go and/or Kotlin.
- Model serving and LLM inference experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar).
- Evaluation and observability hands-on with tools such as LangFuse, LangSmith, Braintrust, or MLflow.
- Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken.
