Overview
Lead architecture and implementation for Tier-1 fulfilment systems that plan, optimize, and distribute ecommerce orders in real time across Korea and Taiwan.
What you'll do
- Design scalable services for order planning, fulfilment optimization, inventory allocation, and network cost management.
- Own architecture across gRPC, Kafka, CPLEX, caching, and multi-region systems.
- Write production Kotlin and Java code for correctness, performance, and operational safety.
- Lead design and code reviews for latency-sensitive order flows.
- Drive resilience through circuit breakers, graceful degradation, observability, and incident prevention.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, and Operations on fulfilment optimization initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and establish reusable technical mechanisms.
What you'll need
- Experience designing and operating high-scale distributed systems with strict latency and reliability requirements.
- Strong hands-on Kotlin or Java backend development experience.
- Deep knowledge of system design, APIs, concurrency, data modelling, caching, messaging, gRPC, and REST.
- Experience with high-QPS, large-volume, or Tier-1 SLA systems.
- Experience with Kafka-based event-driven architectures at scale.
- Experience with multi-region systems and cross-border fulfilment.
- Technical leadership experience setting architecture direction, aligning teams, and mentoring engineers.
Nice to have
- Experience in ecommerce, fulfilment, supply chain, logistics, inventory, order management, or planning systems.
- Experience with optimization solvers such as CPLEX or OR-Tools.
- Experience with AI-assisted development and code review tools.
- Experience with spec-driven or contract-first development.
