Overview
Staff Data Scientist to work on LinkedIn international products, using member data to generate insights and improve product decisions and performance.
What you'll do
- Access and analyze professional member data to generate insights and recommendations.
- Define success metrics for novel products and build dashboards/reports to monitor them.
- Design and analyze experiments to test new product ideas.
- Develop models and data-driven solutions to improve principal performance metrics.
- Inform product strategy and influence the product roadmap and decisions.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and other teams in a cross-functional setup.
What you'll need
- BS/MS in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics).
- 10+ years experience with large real data using SQL (Teradata/Oracle/MySQL) and R (or other statistical package).
- 10+ years experience in Unix/Linux for automating processes with shell scripting.
- Ability to translate business objectives into actionable analyses.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Experience with consumer internet products.
- Programming experience in Python/Java (Pig experience desired but not required).
- Knowledge in viral growth, user acquisition in International markets, or SEO.
- Expertise in applied statistics and controlled experiments.
- Cross-cultural background and experience.
